Kosrae State PAN–Blue Prosperity Micronesia (PAN-BPM) Coordinator

The Micronesia Conservation Trust (MCT) is seeking a qualified and experienced PAN (Protected Areas Network) -BPM (Blue Prosperity Micronesia) Coordinator to lead the day-to-day implementation of the PAN-BPM Program.

Position Title: Kosrae State PAN–Blue Prosperity Micronesia (PAN-BPM) Coordinator

Duty Station: Kosrae Island Resource Management Authority (KIRMA), Kosrae, FM 96944

Salary: USD $30,000 to $35,000 per annum

 

This is the person who will run Kosrae's Protected Area Network and Blue Prosperity Micronesia work on the ground. The role supports marine spatial planning, PAN site establishment and monitoring, community consultations, and the state policies, laws, and sustainable financing mechanisms. You'd be the link between Kosrae State, the national PAN and BPM coordinators, MCT, and partners across government, communities, and NGOs.

Kosrae's contribution to the Micronesia Challenge 2030 goes through this role. What gets designated, how it's managed, and what policy and funding sits behind it starts here.

 

What we're looking for:
- A bachelor's in environmental studies, conservation, natural resource management, marine science, policy, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Fluency in English and Kosraean.
- Knowledge of Micronesian governance and traditional resource stewardship.
- Comfortable facilitating meetings, consultations, and public presentations.

The Micronesia Conservation Trust (MCT), on behalf of the FSM Department of Resources and Development, is seeking a motivated and qualified Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Coordinator to support the Green Climate Fund (GCF) SAP020 project, Climate-Resilient Food Security for Farming Households Across the Federated States of Micronesia.

Location: Pohnpei, FSM

Salary: US$30,000 per annum

Contract Duration: 1.5 years
